Our rector is The Rev. Polly H. Robb<\/strong>. Polly came to Saint Luke’s in the summer of 2019. After two decades working in education as a teacher and administrator, Polly went back to school and received her MDiv. from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Polly and her husband, Robert, moved to Scottsboro from Huntsville, AL. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. Polly enjoys reading, riding her bicycle, and writing sermons on the dock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polly serves the Diocese of Alabama in several capacities. She is a member of the Bishop’s Commission on Ministry and the diocesan Christian Formation committee. She is also one of four deputies from Alabama to The General Convention of the Episcopal Church in 2022. Polly is dedicated to creating a loving and dynamic Christ-centered ministry that strengthens the community of faith and inspires people to live with hope and work for God\u2019s justice and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alicia Bell<\/strong> is our Bookkeeper. She has been a member of Saint Luke\u2019s since 1974, when her parents moved the family to Scottsboro. She and husband Brett raised their two daughters, Courtney and Carley, at Saint Luke’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alicia graduated from Auburn University in 1993 with a degree in Accounting. She has earned a Master\u2019s in Mathematics Education and Administration and holds an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alicia taught for 24 years in Arab (4 yrs) and Scottsboro (20 years) before \u201cretiring\u201d to commute to Trenton, GA where she is now an 8th grade mathematics and Algebra I teacher at Dade Middle School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James Kuykendall<\/strong>, our Organist, Choir Director, and Communications Coordinator, was raised in Pisgah, AL and currently resides in Scottsboro.  He began playing the piano at the age of 3 and played regularly at church throughout his life.  He holds a degree in Music from Northeast Alabama Community College where he also served as the Vocal Director for the college theatre department from 2006 to 2019. James has served as a director of both traditional and contemporary music for various local churches. James is very excited to make the move to the Episcopal Church, with its long-standing beautiful liturgy and traditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to his work with the church, James teaches private voice and piano and heads the Scottsboro Choral Music Academy at Saint Luke’s. He also works as Vocal Director for the Kevin Dukes Career and Innovation Academy Theatre. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his husband, Matthew, and their cats, Loki and Ellie. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cheryl Miller<\/strong> is our new Administrative Assistant. Cheryl retired from the Scottsboro Police Department after 28 years. She has two children and three of the grandest of grand children. And we can’t forget about her best friend, Buster, her 100 pound boxer baby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
