Saint Luke’s is excited to be preparing for our bi-annual Advent Journey Art Exhibition in December – an offering to highlight the interconnectedness of Art and Faith. All artists are invited to participate in this year’s exhibition.

The Advent Journey is an intersection of faith and art, designed specifically for the season of Advent, the four weeks leading up to the Nativity of our Lord. This special event offers a tangible way for people to connect the prophetic season of Advent to our own lives – the times of upheaval we experience, and the new life that comes with God’s wisdom and faith.

Our theme this year is “The Light Shines in the Darkness – Love conquers all”.

Our show opens December 8th and closes January 12th.

The Advent Journey Art Exhibition offers artists a place to showcase their work, and the show offers our community a time to observe, reflect, and ponder our longing for Christ to bring new life and light into our lives.

Click here to read some scripture passages that the Church reads and studies during this Advent season which may pique your imagination and allow you to create something meaningful. You may already have a piece of artwork that fits this year’s theme or one of the passages.

The submission form can be found here.
